Dilemma

How do you make someone understand that what they're doing is not appropriate and should be done at another time. I'm having that situation now. I want my friend to understand that he is in a situation where it is required for him to change his plans to avoid 'menyusahkan' himself and other people. I can't make him chang his mind...Its so annoying...
