Valentine Disaster :S

The day started perfect.. Woke up early, got to work...greeted a few people happy v-day...all went well up til around 6.45pm, disaster strikes.. Me and a friend of mine, Imah decided to have a girls-night-out dinner, just the two of us, after an hour of jogging at OGDC. Initially, we wanted sushi, called Excapade to book seats but was told that it was fully booked until 9.30pm. We were so hungry we decided to change venue instead. Not bothering to change clothes, we head out to KB to eat at fratini's.

When we reached the patio to the Fratini's main entrance, the tables were all with 2 seats and all was booked by someone. We were the only girl and girl couple. Everyone were with their partners. Embrassed but determined to eat, we went and ask if there was any seats left. Luck was on our side, there were seat and apparently, it ws the last table that was not booked. Sat down and adjusting to our seats, all the while, in my head, i kept thinking 'Should I eat spaghetti or lasagne'. The waiter gave us a menu..a pink menu with gold ribbons. Unfamiliar with the physical appearence of their menu, I opened up the menu and there it said 'Valentine dinner special, $88.00' I was shocked, looking at the expensive rates of the dinner! Looked at Imah and she looked at me. We were definitely thinking the same thing. Think of it, two friends, not intending to spend Valentine's day, was in a restaurant where people are celebrating V-day and looking at a V-day special dinner at a price that was way too expensive. We asked the waiter if we could have their regular menu, but he said that tonight, they are only serving V-day special dinner and no other foods are available. Of course, thinking of the price, made us stood up and walked out.

It was already around 7.15pm. We were both in the car thinking of wat to eat. Imah suggested we order pizza and eat at my place. Of course, I said, 'OKay, np' Call pizza hut but then, disaster strikes, we didn't know what to order. I mean, yes! pizza but we wanted more. So we decided to drive to pizza hut instead and eat there. By the time we decided, it was around 7.35pm. Then as I was driving towards pizza hut, it click me, 'why don't we take away the sushi instead?'

When we were in Excapade, it was already 7.43pm. It was fully packed with people. Imah ordered hers and I ordered mine. We needed to wait for about 15mins for our food. We went out as the restaurant was getting crowded, walked towards the car and waited 15mins for the food. Talked and laughed at each other while ignoring the sound of thunder from our hungry stomachs. Exactly 8.00pm, we went in again to pick the food up. It took them a very long time to find my order. We stood there a long time, in a fully packed restaurant with our jogging attire. We looked horrible!! Everyone was dress-to-impress while we were just the opposites. It turned out that the waiter forgot to give my order to the kitchen so it wasn't cook at all!!!!!!! She asked me to wait again!! Walked towards car and waited again! As we wait, we saw couples waling pass by us, and we took the opportunity making harsh comments on everyone as at this point, we were both EXTREMELY tired, hungry and irritated.

It’s 8.30pm, I walked towards Excapade and picked up my food. We were so happy that we could smell of food. We were talking about how crappy the Valentine’s day turn out to be as we wasted in waiting !!

Reached home about 8.45pm, walked towards my front door, pretty excited in eating sushi then another disaster stirkes!!!!!!!!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE MY HOUSE KEYS?????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then i remember that I took the house keys out from my car keys to avoid bringing the whole bundle while jogging. At the midst of nearly shouting and going crazy, I decided to call a friend who has an extra key to my house. Knowing that he was playing football, I asked Imah to keep calling him until he answer. At this point it was nearly 9.00pm. He didn’ answer so we decided to go to BSRC and pick up the keys ourselves. I was driving towards BSRC, meanwhile Imah kept calling him. We were nearing to BSRC, when he answered. Apparently, he was on his way to my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to turn the car around and move straight home. And of course, he came and open the door for us. By the time we ate, it was nearly 9.30pm... From 6.45pm to 9.30pm, we were out to get food on Valentine’s day.

What a night!!! A Valentine day that I will always remember.
